Encompassing a territory of 47,000 hectares, this park is home to numerous historical monuments, dense forests of birch and poplar trees, and natural springs. The ecosystem of the park is particularly fascinating as it serves as a meeting point between the steppe and the taiga.

Towards the southern part of the park, you will find the renowned sand dunes of Elsentasarkhai, often referred to as the "little Gobi." Stretching across 80 km, these dunes are accompanied by the meandering Tarna River, which is lined with willow trees.
