Bayanzag "Flaming Cliffs"

The red sand cliffs of Bayanzag, known as "Flaming Cliffs" due to their ochre and red hues, are renowned for their spectacular sunsets. They are located approximately 100 kilometers northwest of Dalanzadgad.

This site is also a famous dinosaur cemetery, where the first dinosaur eggs were discovered in 1922.

Saxaul, a leafless, thorny shrub standing at around two meters in height, proliferates in the surrounding area. It boasts deep and succulent roots, enabling it to thrive in arid, saline, or sandy environments. This plant is vital for camels and other desert-dwelling animals as a primary food source.
